O Holy Night (ORIGINAL PAINTING SOLD!)

O Holy Night
The stars are brightly shining
The pain swells like a wave
In the worst possible timing

I feel like I cant breathe
As I fight the urge to scream
A whisper of faith reminds me
Things arent always what they seem

The pain subsides once more
I pray, God where are you?
Have you left me in my greatest time of need
When Ive lost everything for you

No answer- just another contraction
The pain taking my breath away once more
And I cant distinguish truth from lie,
As I wonder what Im being punished for

But just as hope seemed lost
We come across an Inn
My heart swells in gratitude of praise
That You provided in the end

My faith soars once more
Just before it comes crashing down
For your provision was just an illusion
An Inn, with no room to be found

We have to stop, I cannot go on any longer
This must all be but a bad dream
The time has come and I have nowhere to go
As the pain intensifies and I let out a scream

We are rushed out back to a dirty manger
Full of animals and pee
And my spirit cries out with the next wave of pain
Why have you forsaken me?!

Things arent always what they seem
As Mary was left to give birth in a stall
Placing her child in a feeding trough full of flies
Wondering if God cared at all

During this time the sky shifted
As a great star appeared
And angels came to visit shepherds nearby
To tell them the Messiah was here.

The wise man started their journey
Bringing gifts for the newborn King
And in this story we see, when all seems lost
God is actually aligning everything.
