ORIGINAL NFS

A painting inspired by the Disney movie Moana, where I felt the Spirit speak to me when watching the film with my son.

In the movie, baby Moana desires a beautiful seashell, but notices a baby turtle behind her in distress. She must make the choice, to leave the seashell, she desires, and go help the baby turtle, make it to the sea Or to leave the baby turtle to grab the seashell before it washes away in the ocean. 

She ends up, leaving the seashell and helping the turtle make it safely to the ocean. Afterwords the ocean rewards her with three large sea shells.

This spoke to me on stewarding what God has given you in each season. As I looked down at my son in my lap, I knew that it is my season to steward, his growth and development in this world, leading him in the ways of light in love. 

I am someone who dreams big and has big dreams for this world, but that is all side work compared to my job as his mother. I know he is my greatest gift from God. 

That is what the is painting means to me. A painting for my son.
