The Lighthouse
Oh God
With eyes closed
Heart opened
I see you
Silencing the noise around me
I seek the stillness where I hear you
And in ways unknown to me
I feel you
In my spirit I seek you
Feeling backwards and upside down
For you are here there and all around
Where ever love is, you are found.
And like the lighthouse
You guide me safe to shore
Then like the stars, you take me back out to sea
Past the waves that roar;
Fear once again, coming against me
Not knowing which way to go
Simply following, trusting
Learning to distinguish what's me and what's you
What's fear and what's discernment
What's religion and what's love
And even in my mistakes you are there
Leading me on
Up, down... all around...
The refining journey of a spiral
Taking me back to places I've been before
And just when I think I know where I am
You reveal to me another plan
But I trust you my God
My love...
The Great I Am.
